Leadership Team
Victor Cervantes
Victor Cervantes brings over 17 years of experience in the clean energy sector, focusing on solar, wind, battery energy storage systems, hydrogen, and biogas. Fluent in English, Spanish, and French, Victor has led the negotiation and execution of numerous power purchase agreements, including the first clean energy PPA between two private parties under Mexico’s Electric Industry Law, along with several autoabastecimiento and cross-border PPAs. He has overseen the development of projects totaling more than $1.3 billion in investment. Victor has also served on the boards of several trade associations, including ASOLMEX, AMDEE, and CHBC. His leadership was recognized in Grupo Expansión’s 2021 “Mexico’s 30 under 40.” He holds an MS in Industrial Engineering from ULB, Belgium, and a Program for Leadership Development from Harvard Business School.
Rodrigo Melendez
Rodrigo Melendez brings 17 years of deep expertise in the energy sector, covering pipelines, gas distribution, LNG, refined products terminals, and power generation. His financial leadership includes managing extensive infrastructure projects, with notable involvement in a variety of both local and international funding initiatives totaling more than $25 billion. His skill set covers a broad range of corporate finance activities, including project evaluation, financial planning, risk management and insurance, investor relations and strategic investment decisions. Rodrigo began his career in banking, which solidified his foundation in financial markets. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and studies of Master in Finance at ITAM.
Ricardo Moreno
Ricardo Moreno is renowned for his exceptional commercial acumen and strategic vision, which have been pivotal in his extensive engagement with the Mexican business community. With 18 years of experience, Ricardo has adeptly managed a wide range of projects in the energy sector, such as LNG, linear projects, hydro, solar, wind, refined products, RNG, and maritime terminals. His comprehensive network and deep understanding of the market dynamics have enabled him to successfully oversee significant investments in energy infrastructure, amounting to approximately $5 billion, including several cross-border projects. His strategic insights and skilled management have significantly contributed to the advancement of these projects. Ricardo holds a BA in Business Administration from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and dual master’s degrees in Public Administration and City & Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania.
